Twilight and music

  • Apr. 2nd, 2008 at 3:49 PM

Has anyone read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer? I really want to read it since it sounds so good, so a friend let me borrow it today. I have so much homework today but I'll try to read it. Also, one of my friends introduced me to a J-pop group called "Arashi". They're pretty good. They're like the Japanese Jonas Brothers. Ha ha. Okay, I have a lot on my schedule. I have to: 1) finish homework 2) finish chapter 7 of The Angel of Music 3) Practice violin 4) finish translation for Nagare-Boshi.net 5) finish reading the Outsiders by S. E. Hinton 6) start reading Twilight 7) Finish Latin project 8) Study for geography test 9) work on art project for an event 10) go return some books to the library. AHHHH! HELP! lol

You Are Avril Lavigne!

A bit hardcore on the outside...
But sweet and sensitive on the inside.
"It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life"

I play the violin already!

You Should Play the Violin

You are highly intelligent, and mastering difficult subjects never intimidates you.
And while you may not be musical yet, you have a good ear - and you're sensitive to subtle differences in music.

You are dedicated and studious. You have a great work ethic.
You study well under a teacher, and you don't mind repeating tasks or following instructions.

Expressive and moody, you are very likely to convey a variety of rich emotions through your music.
You are definitely a passionate person... passionate enough to truly love the violin.

Your dominant personality characteristic: your high intelligence

Your secondary personality characteristic: your sensitivity

My Future Stories: An Angel's Song

Title: An Angel's Song

Notes: Mikan Sakura is the daughter of the famous violinist, conductor, and composer, Kei Onno. She has won many competitions for playing the violin including first place in the Paganini Moscow International, the Handover International, and the Indianapolis International Violin Competition and many others. Mikan also has been in many prestigious orchestras and was also a guest soloists for Boston Youth Symphany and other orchestras, even though she was so young. Although she is talented like her father, she hates him for divorcing her mother when she was three. He never taught her anything except that "making music is not only technique, but also playing with emotion". She leaves Vienna with her mom to Japan to attend the same music school her father attended to prove to her mother that she can be better than her father. She starts attending Alice Music Gakuen in the middle school section. She keeps her father a secret as she auditions for the school's only and advanced string quartet with her talent in playing the violin. She finds her self the only girl and first year among the other three members who happens to be all boys and third years (Natsume-viola, Ruka-violin 2, and Tsubasa-cello). She is taunted by the students jealous of her like Sumire. But Mikan makes new friends who play, who are not in the quartet, with her for concerts like the principal's daughter's wedding. She also meets the violist of the quartet, Natsume Hyuuga, who is as famous and talented as her and the only diciple Kei Onno has. And might know her father's reasons and Mikan's secret... I love this story, because it has to do with classical music. As you know, I play the violin (I made Natsume play the viola instead of a violin like Mikan, because my crush plays the viola. Teehee!).

Sneak Preview #1: "... 'We reserved this practice room. You shouldn't be here," he said. 'The principal said I could use it,'..."

Sneak Preview #2: "... 'Tell me, why did you transfer to this school when you're already this famous?' he asked Mikan..."

Sneak Preview #3: "... 'I think she'll be a good addition to the quartet," said the raven-haired violist to Mr. Narumi..."
